Fenlon Place Elevator Throwback T-Shirt
The Fenelon Place Elevator Throwback T-Shirt features a design created exclusively for Dubuque Clothing Co., printed on a premium tee with soft, high-quality inks that stay vibrant wash after wash.
A predecessor of the elevator was built in 1882 for banker J.K. Graves so he could get home for lunch faster, then opened to the public in 1884 for a nickel a ride. After fire destroyed the original, it was rebuilt in 1893 using the cable-car technology still in use today, and the funicular is now recognized as the shortest, steepest railroad in the United States.
