Family Videos Coasters Set (4pc)
The Family Videos Coasters Set is a laser-engraved nod to the video rental era, in artwork made exclusively for Dubuque Clothing Co. Each coaster is cut from a durable, high-quality material built to hold up under drinks night after night.
Family Video was born in 1978 as a small Springfield, Illinois membership club charging $25 to join and $5 a rental, and by deliberately setting up shop in small and mid-size towns instead of big cities, it managed to outlast giants like Blockbuster - which had shuttered nearly all its stores by 2013 - to become the last surviving national video rental chain by the end of 2016. That small-town strategy is exactly why so many Iowans, including plenty of Dubuquers, have a Friday-night memory tied to a Family Video shelf. The chain finally closed its last 250 stores in 2021, ending a 44-year run.
