How can I get help with my design?
Whether you’re having trouble with the Design Lab, not sure how many ink colors you’ll need to print your uploaded art, or just want us to take a look at your design, we’re always happy to help! Most design questions can be answered by our service representatives.
How many do I have to order?
Dubuque Clothing Co. can print as many items as you need for your group, but we know that sometimes you only need one. We can help you there too with no minimum products! A print minimum is the set lowest number of items an order needs to contain to be able to be printed, and it’s a good idea to always check for the print minimum on products.
What happens after I place my order?
Each order is reviewed by at least two members of the Dubuque Clothing Co. production team to make sure your design is perfect and ready for print.
All art is thoroughly checked for aesthetics, printability, and errors. We will automatically adjust common issues like alignment, contrast, line thickness, and spelling errors.
How is my price determined?
Whether you're curious about the cost of your order or the price difference between different designs or products, we're always here to provide a quick, accurate price quote with no obligation to buy.
Your Dubuque Clothing Co. price is primarily determined by three things:
- The product you select.
- The total number of ink colors needed for printing.
- The total quantity of items in your order.
Other factors such as personalization (adding personalized names and/or numbers to your items) or special requests also affect the cost.
What do all the different decoration processes mean?
Screen Printing
Screen printing is a process that uses a mesh screen to transfer ink onto an underlying garment. The basic operation starts with the creation of a stenciled screen that allows the selective application of ink to a piece of apparel. Every color applied requires a separate screen to place the ink exactly where needed within the design. Screen printing has become the standard customization for t-shirts and apparel.
Direct to Garment (DTG) Printing
Direct to Garment printing applies ink to a garment using inkjet technology. This uses a process that applies fine droplets of different colors to render a full-color design. Think big & complicated inkjet printer. Also known as digital printing, DTG has become increasingly popular due to the simplicity of the printing process.
Heat-Applied Vinyl
Vinyl is applied to a garment using heat to create a durable bond.
Embroidery
Embroidery is the process of decorating fabric using thread and we’ve used it to customize hundreds of thousands of garments. Particularly popular with polo shirts and hats, embroidery is a great choice for a long-lasting look.
