1776 Stars & Stripes Eagle Patriot T-Shirt
This design is one-of-a-kind and found only at Dubuque Clothing Co. — the 1776 Stars & Stripes Eagle Patriot T-Shirt is printed on a premium tee with high-quality, soft inks built to last.
Congress officially adopted the Stars and Stripes on June 14, 1777 — but the beloved story of Betsy Ross sewing the very first flag is more legend than documented fact. That tale wasn't even told publicly until 1870, when her grandson shared it decades after the fact, and no official record confirms she designed it, though she genuinely did sew flags and was paid by Pennsylvania's Navy Board that same year. Some historians instead point to Continental Congress delegate Francis Hopkinson as a likelier designer. Either way, the flag that came out of it has flown proudly ever since.
