Save 1776 Stars & Stripes Eagle Patriot Women's T-Shirt
This design is one-of-a-kind and found only at Dubuque Clothing Co. — the Save 1776 Stars & Stripes Eagle Patriot Women's T-Shirt is cut in a women's fit and finished with soft, high-quality inks built to last.
It took over a century for the country to formally celebrate its own flag: a Wisconsin schoolteacher named Bernard Cigrand organized the first lasting Flag Day lesson back in 1885, and the idea spread through schools nationwide before Woodrow Wilson made it a national observance in 1916. It still wasn't a permanent official holiday until 1949, when President Harry Truman finally signed it into law — nearly 172 years after that very first flag design was adopted in 1777.
