Dubuque Clothing Co. DC 15oz. Ceramic Mug
The Dubuque Clothing Co. DC Ceramic Mug features a design created exclusively for Dubuque Clothing Co., printed on a premium ceramic mug with soft, high-quality inks built to last mug after mug.
The Dubuque Clothing Co. logo carries the same civic pride that helped build one of Dubuque's most treasured landmarks: the Carnegie-Stout Public Library. The library traces its roots to the 1859 Young Men's Literary Association, but its grand home came in 1901, when steel magnate Andrew Carnegie granted the city $71,500 to construct a proper public library. Local businessman Frank D. Stout added a $20,000 gift of land in honor of his father, and Chicago architects W.G. Williamson and John Spencer designed a Beaux-Arts building with a Roman Corinthian portico modeled after the Pantheon in Rome. Dedicated on October 17, 1902 and opened to the public three days later, the library was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, expanded in 1981, and recognized in 1986 as a contributing property of the Jackson Park Historic District.
