Union Park Throwback T-Shirt
The Union Park Throwback T-Shirt features a design created exclusively for Dubuque Clothing Co., screen printed on a premium tee with soft, high-quality inks built to last.
Union Park opened April 26, 1891, with a streetcar fare scheme so quirky it's worth repeating: riders paid a dime heading out, a nickel more at the halfway point since the conductor never knew who was going the distance, then fifteen cents for the return trip. The park quickly added a dance pavilion, a bowling alley, and a lawn tennis court, with concerts twice a week and Sunday afternoons all season - but money troubles caught up fast, and by that September the whole venture was fighting to keep its streetcar charter alive.
